Feedback Form Now Links to Imaging Department

Physicians have asked for an easy way to raise questions about Imaging interpretations. To make this as easy as possible, a direct link to Imaging has been created on the MD Feedback screen on Web/VS.

Disclosing Unanticipated Medical Outcomes

JCAHO regulations require that physicians disclose medical errors to patients and their families when the errors result in unanticipated medical outcomes.

There is no Pharmacy update this week.

Priority #1 is Preventing Transmission

Across the country, including here in Los Angeles, hospitals and nursing homes are dealing with challenges from multi-drug-resistant organisms (MDRO's), including Acinetobacter baumannii.

Acinetobacter Baumannii (pictured at right) is resistant to many commonly prescribed antibiotics and can survive on the skin for several days.

Cedars-Sinai, too, is observing an increase in critically ill patients who have MDR-AB. Preventing transmission of these antibiotic-resistant organisms to non-infected patients is a high priority for the medical staff and the medical center.
